What is a Tiny Treasure?

Tiny Treasures are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" pieces of original art made by artists throughout the state of Wisconsin and beyond. They are exhibited on-line (click "Tiny Treasures 2012 Exhibit/Competition" link to the left) and also will be on exhibit at the Pyle Center in Madison as indicated above. These wonderfully clever and beautiful works  of  art will be for sale in our "Buy-it-Now" sale as a fundraiser to benefit the Wisconsin Regional Artists Association (WRAA) Lindroth Publication Fund.

What is the "Buy-it-Now" fundraiser?

All Tiny Treasures are posted on-line at www.wraawrap.com and will be available for anyone to buy for $25.00. "Buy-it-Now" will start on-line in July 20, 2012 and end September 17, 2012. Tiny Treasures can also be purchased in person at "Evening with the Arts," Saturday, September 22, 2012 and on State Day2012, Sunday, September 23, 2012, until noon.  You may pick up your Not For Sale, purchased piece or unsold piece on WRAA’s "State Day," September 23,  or it will be mailed to you afterwards.

How do I purchase (Buy-it-Now) 2012 Tiny Treasures artwork?

When the exhibit begins, July 20, 2012, e-mail Sherry Ackerman at sherrycackerman@frontier.com and let her know which piece(s) in the Tiny Treasures Gallery you are interested in. She will confirm the availability of the piece(s) and make arrangements for payment. Please note that some pieces in the exhibit are not for sale, and are indicated in the description in the Tiny Treasures gallery.

What is "Evening With the Arts"?

Saturday night before the annual WRAP State Art Exhibit and Conference Day in September, the Wisconsin Regional Artists Association (WRAA) hosts a gala reception at the Pyle Center at UW-Madison. Enjoy the art of the WRAP Statewide Exhibit, Teen and Tiny Treasures exhibits, hors-d’oeuvres, beautiful music and other activities. This year’s "Evening" will be announced soon. For more information please click the "Evening With the Arts" link to the left.

For more Tiny Treasures information, please contact coordinator: Sherry Ackerman, sherrycackerman@frontier.com or (608) 445-2517

Each Tiny Treasure measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". Please submit your Tiny Treasures at that size. They are floated inside a mat that is cut larger than the artwork. If your artwork comes to us larger, it will have to be cut down to fit within our specifications.

Tiny Treasures will be on exhibit August through September 23, 2012 at the Pyle Center, Madison, WI.  Proceeds benefit the Lindroth Publication Fund which helps support the cost of WRAA's annual color catalog for the Wisconsin Regional Art Program's (WRAP) Art Exhibit each September in Madison.

There will also be custom-made frames, made especially for the Tiny Treasures,  at Evening with the Arts and on State Day, available for a donation. The frames are made by Niki Russos and come complete with glass and hanging hardware.
