History

The year 2004 marked the 50th year for WRAA.  To celebrate, WRAA held the first “Bridging Generations” Youth Exhibit and Auction as a fund raiser for the Wisconsin Regional Art Program (WRAP).  The event was conceived to help introduce our youth to our organization and to help ensure the future of WRAP.  The event was a huge success and it was decided to annually continue the exhibit and move it around the state. Subsequent exhibits and workshops have been held in Middleton, Milton, Minocqua/Madison and this past summer in Mineral Point sponsored by Shake Rage Alley Center for the Arts and Wisconsin Regional Artists Association . In 2006 added were beautiful note cards made with the reproduced artwork from the exhibit as a fund-raiser for the WRAP Endowment Fund.

Please consider sponsoring youth who share your interest in art, in this WRAA Youth Art Exhibit.  Your support will encourage young people to pursue a lifelong interest in art.

If you or your art group would like to see this exhibit and workshop continue and move around the state each year, volunteer.  We will need art groups or individuals who would like to sponsor the event for next year.  Planning for next year can begin at any time!  If you or your group are interested, look for articles in upcoming issues of Contour Notes or contact WRAA president, Mary Ann Inman at inman_ma@yahoo.com
